Gibson SB Monel out of stock

I buy strings by the box so it has been a little while since I purchased the Gibson Sam Bush strings and I am seeing them out of stock at most of the places I buy strings from. I ended up ordering from amazon and they only had 10 in stock. I wonder if these strings are going away like the Tony Rice strings I liked. Hope not.

Discussed here a couple of months ago. Last time I looked, you could still get them directly from Gibson.

The best strategy when there's a shortage (which you suspect marks the end of the line) is to get your own stock in from wherever you can find them. Posting here just promotes a buying frenzy which exacerbates the problem.

This happened a few years back with rumors there weren't going to be any more made. I bought as many sets as I could get my hands on.
