    Smile John Wynn Mandolins

Good day to you all. I am new to the Mandolin world and just starting out. I have acquired a Wynn mandolin from a friend who has had in sitting in a closet for the past 7 years. I know some of the big names in the Mandolin world, but I had never heard of Wynn. There is a website for Wynn mandolins (wynnmandolins.com) but it does not provide much information. Is anyone familiar with Wynn mandolins? Does anyone know where I can maybe find out more information in regards too the mandolin? Thanks in advance!

John lived in Springfield Mo and was a banjo player. He has passed. He has 2 sons that play: John - fiddle and Berry - mandolin. John made a 3 point mandolin for Jesse McReynolds at one point. He was a nice man and a pretty good picker. I recorded an album with Berry when I was in Branson with Roy Clark and use to visit John Sr on occasion. Hope this helps. I'm face book friends with his sons.
