Tenor Wiessenborn
I recently built a new instrument. It is a four string lap steel in the style of a 1920's Weissenborn steel guitar.

Re: Tenor Wiessenborn
Hi Dave,
It looks great. I'd love to see some specs, scale length, timbers used etc. I have just started building Tenors so am interested in all info i can find. I'd also love to hear a sample.

Re: Tenor Wiessenborn
The scale is 22 inches. It is 13 inches across the lower bout. The wood is Philippine Mahogany from the local home store. Fingerboard and bridge are walnut. It can be tuned to open G (D G B d) or open D (D F# A d). It sounds great. I am trying to find someone to record a sound clip for me. I am not much at playing, more of a builder.
