I met a guy at The Great 48 last week who is from SLO, his name is Alan and he plays guitar. If you contact the Central Coast Bluegrass Association, you may be able to get his contact info. He seemed to know quite alot bout jams, etc. in that area.

I live in Los Osos and am a member of the Bluegrass Music Society of the Central Coast (BMSCC). Here's their website: http://www.bmscc.org/
Email them and get on their newsletter list. It will give you info on the upcoming concerts in the area and the jams. Maybe even join.
