I can't go, too. But I went to the very first one in Baltimore. I was part of the opening act at the concert, a quartet with Toni Nigrelli, the late Irving Nabson, and Mark Davis on guitar. We played Menichetti's "A Feast on the Castle".

But if you can go, go, it is a lot of fun!

Thanks for the nice words! Sometimes the convention almost seems like a big reunion - so many people return year after year.

And there's an opportunity for folks new to the convention, particularly full time students...

To those of you who are or know of a full time high school or college student who plays a mandolin family instrument, guitar or bass, the CMSA offers a limited number of scholarships for the convention.

Wow, approx. 150 people have signed up for the convention!

If you are attending the convention, please consider packing an item or two to donate to the raffle. When you arrive in Portland, you can hand off your item to Michael Tognetti or Jonathan Rudie. Typical items: new or gently used method books, instruments, CD's, knick-knacks, etc.

Early registration is now over. But it's not too late to change your mind - AND - in fact convention organizers would appreciate it if you go ahead and register online so we can keep a count of how many goodie bags and banquet meals we need. Also, you can still get your music ahead of time too!

We are now at 160 or so attendees and counting! Don't miss out!
