So I've run across both Harmonious Wail and Hot Club Sandwich as two gypsy jazz bands with mandolin. Any others that you can recommend? Searched the forum but didn't find much on this specific subject. Thanks!

Not really, but i can draw your attention to a lovely Gypsy Jazz styled mandolin made a local luthier currently for sale here in Vancouver:

Thanks notneils. A little pricey for me, especially for a flat top. Too bad the demo guy didn't play something in the GJ/hot club vein. At least he gave out a shout to mandolincafe (though I don't know how much demand there is for a dedicated GJ mando here). I've got a great Morris F4 hybrid that more than does the job for me.
Here's an answer to my own question, which I found combing the web:
Dave Gross - Mandology
David Grisman, Frank Vignola, Robin Nolan & Michael Papillo "The Living Room Sessions"
Here's a few more I like:
Rendezvous At The Nightery Brandi Shearer & The Robin Nolan Trio with David Grisman
I've never seen video of this matching (which includes female vocals), but here's a video that also features Frank:
Gypsy Rumble Stéphane Wrembel Trio With David Grisman
This was a one-off project. I can't find video of them together, but here's a video of Stephane:
Duo Vibracao A Jazzy Note
I love this album, and they are AKA "Trio Vibracao". Here they are with Donnie:
Larry
Of course, Cafe fave, Will Patton.
I know that Mark Kreitzer plays some mandolin in Dean Harrington's Mill City Hot Club.
He has a nice LaPlant mandolin.
The Hot Club of Coral Bay plays gypsy jazz as well as western swing, standards and acoustic rock too. Mandolin/fiddle, guitars, and string bass with strong vocals. Weekends in Coral Bay St. John US Virgin Islands Dec. thru April come on down.
There's a band on Spotify called Hot Club Quartette that has a mandolin on their version of 'Russian Lullaby'. It's not super-ambitious mandolin playing, but it's tasteful within the style.
The Eicher Family: "Mischievous Swing".
I'm fan !

Some gypsy jazz in my set with this line up (though the accordion makes it more French and less Fireworks!)- here's a clip of a couple of Django tunes:

Andy Manson 3 point F5;

and various others!
Getting Use out of my Hodson D'jangolin .. David made them and the guitars ..
Just nobody around here to play the swing style stuff with .. other than Youtube.

One Leg UP band out of Asheville, NC often uses a mandolin in their line-up. Good mix of straight gypsy jazz and their take on the standard great American songbook.
