    Default Mandolin Magazine

Mandolin Magazine! Whats up with this magazine. Is it still in publication? I subscribed on Sept 23 and received a confirmation but nothing since. I chose to start with the current issue at that time and ordered back issues. But nothing. Contacted them twice and no response. No money has actually been charged to the account I payed from but that's not the real issue. I now have to leave this money in my checking in case they ever do decide to take it. Has anyone who subscribes received anything lately? I remember why I left my subscription lapse in the past. I remember there being issues with putting them out on time. I like the magazine but that doesn't matter if I cant get it....Mike

I subscribed in August. E mailed and wrote. Finally was told one of the numbers on my credit card was missing. I provided it and was told issue was being sent. Two weeks later and nothing. Sent another e mail and told two issues were being mailed. Waiting. Something not right.

    writing `bout music etc.
Dancing about architecture has been done --- in Malmoe Sweden there is a 70+ story building
named " The turning torso" --- quite a sight ----
    otherwise I do agree

I never quite understood that 'dancing about architecture' thing - i mean, the best architecture is designed to provide for people moving about, within and around it.

Sure, dancing about the place might seem a little flighty - but it can also be joyous... i'm all for architecture that inspires people to dance about -

I'm also for music that inspires people to listen, play, discuss, write, read - whatever form inspiration takes - sharing inspiration is one of the few kindnesses that we have to offer.

Other than that - i hope all these magazine troubles are sorted out to everyone's satisfaction... carry on now - writing and reading about music.

Longtime subscriber with no problems. Wondering what purpose, if any, is served by these consumer complaint threads.

Another long time subscriber with no problems. Ginny is a nice lady.

Ginny is indeed very nice. But she is probably a bit overloaded - in addition to editing and publishing, she also apparently does all the subscription stuff herself as well. I had waited a pretty long to to resubscribe, so I called - there was some minor credit card issue that she simply hadn't gotten around to informing me about, but anyway, the call fixed it.

A lot of the time people's frustrations arise from the simple fact of not knowing - threads like this can help to inform and reassure people.

I had the same problem. Received a confirmation email, but my account was never charged (which I didn't notice) and waited a year. After many attempts by email with no answer, I finally called. She said if I was charged, she would send them out right away. So I had to dig into my account records to find out. I'm sure she's a nice person and I really appreciate that she is doing the magazine, but she doesn't seem to be the best at customer service. Would be nice if she replied to emails. I may give it a go again in the future, because I crave a mandolin magazine, but I am a bit soured by the experience.
