Default Elkhorn Fiddleback Koa/Red Cedar #47

Well...Here's the first of four Fiddleback Koa/Red Cedar F-5's coming soon out of the Elkhorn shop. I've been looking for Koa like this for a long time and this stuff is the real deal!! Didn't get a chance to record this one before it went to it's new owner but I've got another one that I just strung up that I'll post some images and an MP3 of soon. The pairing of these two woods makes for a killer sounding mandolin! Enjoy!

That is gorgeous --everything about it, and that tortoise binding really frames it magnificently.

The torch and wire inlaid peg head is the most impressive I've seen in quite a while. Great work Robb!!

Incredible work! One of the prettiest mandos I've seen anywhere.

Wow! And to think, there are three more right behind it. Well done.

Could you imagine a quartet like that?

The name of the tune Steffey is playing is called " Forked Deer". And... Thanks to all for the nice comments on the mandolin; very much appreciated!
