Following in the footsteps of Parker Posey, who learned mandolin for A Mighty Wind.

And she played a Gibson A-50. With a capo!

Fun and funny. I hope it sells a few Collings mandolins, because I love that company.

That link is locking up my computer. You can see the same video by going directly to youtube and avoid all the addon stuff that other link is doing.

Jaycat beat me to it. Her rendition even sounds a little more like Junior's to me than the Clash's.

Agreed. I love Tiny Tim. Those two would make a fine duet. I've always enjoyed how she's a brilliant "straight man" in her comedic approach. Those who get stuck on her sex appeal ... well .... guess it's all about them at the end of the day.

How many other women are playing mandolin on mainstream television? Plus, singing and playing at the same time, with good humor, and looking like a million bucks? Even better that she played a Collings.

When I first read the title for a moment I pictured Christina Aguilera ... my bad.

BTW, what brand of mando is that she's playing?

It sounded that way to me as well. I will say, she's not unfamiliar with playing a stringed instrument.

I love Christina, so cool to see her playing a mandolin on TV, and looking beautiful doing it.
