looking for a good mike for a fiddle to fit on the violin, I want to use the g10s wireless , so no extra power source for a condenser mike although they seem to be the best. thanks for any idea.

I'd be looking at the Sennheiser e608 or one of the other mount variants of this gooseneck mic.
I really like Sennheiser dynamic mics in general, they're my favorite for tone reproduction of all the mics I've got. Specifically for instrument use, I'm using the e604 on my double bass and I'm very happy with it.

I've been using a
Audio-Technica PRO70 Cardioid with a little gooseneck that clips onto a mount made from a chin rest clamp.
They used to come with the gooseneck but I've had to get an aftermarket version for the last purchase. (I have 3 of them and they are great).
The Senn is good. I think the AT is less expensive.

(I do also like AT, I have one of their LDCs. I don't have any experience with their dynamic mics though.)
