As much as possible and as often as I can remind myself, I try to be positive. I really do. My Sunday mornings are often spent delving into some especially good music, selected from my "reserve stock". This Sunday morning turned to shock instead. Today the music died. IMHO one of the greatest videos ever to grace our wonderful internet is no more. The youtube show is gone. Seems just like life itself, no man knows the hour - so you'd better enjoy. At first I thought no way, let me type something else. Then I felt the knot in my stomach and I knew. It'll take me a while to get over this. I'm not interested in knowing why, who's right, who's wrong. Don't tell me I can still listen, of course I still will. I can only hope that I'm all upset about nothing. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place and a member is about to reply and save my day, maybe it'll reappear one fine day, maybe it'll be released for sale (please). But for now, just let me grieve - today the music died.

Except I do remember and spent a few minutes trying to figure out if you knew something I didn't. I won't tell anyone.

No Jim G. It was the entire VIDEO of the show from which the CD was taken - nearly 2 hours long. Not an audio recording of a different show posted to YT. Maybe one day this treasure will reappear, until then the world is a little darker.

If not, too bad; it was awesome. So much good picking, and such a good angle on TR's right hand.
Come on, Acoustic Disc, do the Pizza Tapes number and give it a legit release!

I'll take a stab at it and say it means they read the original post.

No, it means calling a video vanishing from Youtube "the day the music died" seemed a bit... over the top.

Simple answer.......I would suggest The Band - Music From Big Pink or Doc Watson - Memories.......I guarantee in writing either will quickly become your new personal favorite....

If not, I can suggest another 4,987,652 other recordings that are just as good!

    Problem solved.

I was reading the original post as being exaggerated a wee bit for effect.
It is a really good video, though, definitely one of my Youtube favorites.

Perhaps there is a lesson to be gleaned from this curious string? To wit, when you see a video that could be an extinction level event (aka ELE) it would make sense to download your own copy of it? Pretty easy to do. And as a bonus you could be saving the planet.
