Perish the thought! An ukulele is a small guitar. A mandolin is what you get if a violin and a twelve string guitar had a baby
    Mandolin: Kentucky KM150
Other instruments: way too many, and yet, not nearly enough.

I call it a tenor guitar, with an alternate tuning... :-)

Eastwood 4 string electric mandostang, 2x Airline e-mandola (4-string) one strung as an e-OM.
DSP's: Helix HX Stomp, various Zooms.
    Amps: THR-10, Sony XB-20.

I once described my dreadnought as a "six single string course octave mandolin in an alternate tuning."
    It got a laugh.

Can you play tenor? Tenor eleven miles away?

I am moving toward calling my 10-string an alto guitar. I covers the tenor range but goes higher, with a lighter tone in general. And means they won’t expect to hear either O Sole Mio or Rawhide.
