Slightly askew - but it works nonetheless: Dave Grisman & Doc Watson (with Alan O'Bryant on harmony vocal) doing 'Nine Pound Hamer'.

I never tire of listening to this - it was a key piece of inspiration for me in my very first days of playing mandolin . . . and nowadays I play just like Dave Grisman . . . okay, maybe not exactly like Dawg . . . I probably play more like Dawg's dog . . .

Cahalen Morrison & Eli West. All 3 of their albums are excellent.
EDIT: Whoops, I missed that "fAtHanD" mentioned them on page 2 when I first quickly scanned through the pages before posting this.

Forgot what kind of mandolin Cahalen plays, no name on headstock and couldn't find that info now but it sounds great.

First video shows shows Cahalen tuning his banjo a few seconds in beginning but he plays mandolin on the song. He plays clawhammer banjo on some songs on their albums. Eli plays mandocello on some too.

I believe it's one of Fletcher Brock's mandolins.

Butch Baldassari and John Mock. And there is a book with the transcriptions for all the pieces, for guitar and mandolin.

This blistering break by Don @ the 2:15 mark or so just blows my mind. Talk about clean.

Wow. I thought that was Pawn Stars' Chumlee on mandolin!
