keep them coming Gary- just awesome!
I laid the tracks, never rode the train.
Bill would become energized by certain bands he had......Bill Keith.......Del McCoury......Greene and Rowan.....Butch Robbins and of course many of the times that Kenny Baker was there.
There would be that sense of something special in the music. I saw it many times when he had less than fantastic musicians with him and the spark just wasn't there BUT when he was on .......he was really on....
This is like heavy duty rock.

I wrote Scott about my posting these and not making an ass out of myself doing it. I suggested that I might post three or so a week and he thought that sounded fine.
What I will try and do is select out of the ordinary stuff I have.....a lot of Bean Blossom....some stuff from when Bill and others would stop at the TV shop my father owned and some from AM radio......Wheeling...Richmond etc. We had a several hundred foot long AM antenna stretched across a valley and hooked to a radio and recorder to capture bluegrass in the 50's and early 60's. Some stuff where the Osborne Brothers and Jimmy Martin were like rock star gods with all the cheering and yelling going on.....or Hack Johnson playing some amazing stuff.
So I'll post songs....put them in context of who, what, when and where and why I think they are interesting.
