    Default Weber. The river mandolin

Anyone out there know about the Weber mandolin called the river. It's a blue f style mandolin. Looking for information and price. I checked the weber site but no price.

Och, ja. It can be found here: http://webermandolins.com/instrument...ver-f-mandolin

It's a custom order, I believe. Price is probably on par with a Black Ice ($5k or so, retail). Best bet is to call Weber and ask.

Wow !!! - That's a stunner. As a long time 'blue mando' afficinado (blame Dale Ludewig ),i wish that had been available when i bought my Weber 7 years back.It looks beautiful as it is,but with Gold hardware it would look truly awesome (IMHO),

I just had a chance to play a Weber "River" mandola at their showroom here in Bend, OR. It is a stunningly beautiful instrument, but alas not for sale (though maybe early next year, and maybe $9000 for the mandola). Don't know what the price would be for a river mandolin. I just bought a "Black Ice" F-Style mandolin, and it sounds beautiful!

At one point the Blue River F was listed at the Weber site for $8999.00

    https://webermandolins.com/instruments/river-f-mandolin

Don't know if they still do that one. Elderly has a different River F model for sale, with a Black top and Teal Blue back and sides. Same Price, $8999.00
    https://www.elderly.com/acoustics/ma...dolin-case.htm

Weber also made a River F 14 in Red (Scarlett Fire) Don't know how many they made, but I'm pretty sure I purchased the prototype in Nashville at TOH.

Chacun a son gout, I guess. I personally think it looks like Weber tried to make a $6000 mandolin look like a Pac-Rim starter model. Probably sounds great, but I couldn't get past the blueness (or greenness, or whatever the next flavor is).

edit: or was it a $9000 mandolin? yikes.

    I love it.

Weber used to offer their Aspen II flat top mandolin in a worn denim blue finish. If anyone ever sees one of those ....
