Thought I`d share this......I know the Guitarra Baiana makers have been doing this for years but it was a whole new challenge......damned fussy things to set up Click image for larger version.

Where did you source a 5 string version? Is there a bar or do you just use your palm? Very nice.

Just a cheapo guitar trem ....the base plate was cut down from 6 string to 5 using a Dremel with cutting disc and a hacksaw then cleaned up.....look carefully and you can see the 6th saddle screw behind the top pivot. There is an arm but I didn`t include it in the photo as it looks a bit big.......having said that, picking with palm resting on the trem results in a rather nice phasey/chorusy sort of sound

So how does it work and how does it sound?

I 2nd the statement that they are a b*tch to set up.

I've often wondered about putting a Fender style tremelo (whammy bar) into a 5 sting eMando. I like the idea of being about to bend just a little bit and don't need the extreme bends that the Floyd Rose locking set-up affords.
