    Default Ebay: Weber Yellowstone Octave Mandolin, used

    Emailed the seller and the scale is 22" and I'm looking for a short scale. Looks nice, though.
    1918 Gibson A, "Lillian";
    1940s (?) Kay A style f hole - currently down for a refret and fretboard re-profile, my first attempts (with guidance) at lutherie.
    1981 Washburn M7SN (2 point);
    2011 Eastman 504, "Belle";
    2012 Lafferty mahogany octave mandolin;
    2012 Emando (Saga), "Hank"

    Sweet indeed. I actually prefer the longer scale as I feel you get more power in the bass, which is part of the reason to go for an octave. Does take a little getting used to, though, if you don't play the longer-scaled stuff.
