ok... so i heard this tune and no one knows who it is on the recording and no one knows who wrote the song either.. i am not personaly in possesion of this recording either... so its a total shot in the dark but i figure someone here might know..
the song has some really sweet two part harmonies to it... and the chorus kinda goes like....

your love is dyin' my heart is cryin .... sighin... cryin... dyin???

something with those words in there... its a nice song!

"Your Love Is Dying" was recorded by Reno & Smiley in1957 for Dot Records. Their Dot recordings have recently been re-released on Copper Creek, CCRS-7009, "Reno & Smiley Bluegrass Hits". The song was written by Benny Martin.

Another nice version is by the Lost & Found on their compilation cd "Across The Blue Ridge Mountain", Rebel 1121, featuring of course, the fine mandolin work of Dempsey Young.

Yes, Russ - the L&F version is excellent, originally recorded on their fine 1989 release The Deal, featuring Allen Mills' tenor to the deep country lead of Steve Wilson. Tony Rice also recorded it but his version is not nearly as paar-full as Dempsey and company, although one might say the definitive version is the Reno/Smiley.
