Bob, I'm curious how the 1" outside string spacing was measured. Is this measured using the string's centerline's or with their outside surfaces?
And what's the same string measurement done at the Godin's 12th fret? (Or at the bridge if it's easier to do.)

My measurement was by a digital caliper spread across the strings and using the outside edge of both outer strings. I will do a like measurement at the 12th fret and bridge in the morning and post that here.

12th fret is 1.21" and the bridge is 1.43". Again, these measurements are from outside edge to outside edge of the outer strings.
