I have bought this mandoline recently. Is a vintage. Do you have any idea of what it is worth? It was made by Mario Casella, Catania.

That's a very cool looking mandolin. I love the carved ebony frame on the bottom. I would estimate value at around $700-800

From your other post it looks like they're worth €210. I doubt they've any great age though, since neither has developed the sort of patina one expects of any vintage instrument.
I'm not clear. Are you the seller?
This isn't the same mandolin as the one in his other post. The armrests are different, although both instruments have the same Catania mark on the surface ... which I don't recall seeing before.
Sixty years ago, I understand, Catania was quite the hotbed of luthiery. Now, IIRC, that's all gone save for one factory. But there are probably better-informed people than me.
Anyhow, without knowing a good deal more about Mario Casella, I would hesitate to put any value on this instrument.

This one has got some plectrum wear around the treble end of the bridge. There are some other Casella threads on the Cafe; Fratelli Casella was founded in 1880, so if this is indeed a Mario Casella, it is vintage.
In the violin world, as you know, it's common for an individual luthier's name to be turned into a factory brand after the luthier has completed his tasks on earth. I used to play a John Juzek viola with a Roderich Paesold bow -- neither of which, I'm fairly certain, was ever touched by the gentleman whose name it bore. I do not know whether such things happen in the bowlback mandolin world, or might have happened to Mario Casella.

I am the one who bought this instrument. I have seen one other from the same manufacturer with much more Ivory on, for sale here in Norway. They wanted approx. €1,000.00 for it. That was what made me look for an instrument like this from the same maker. I found it in Austria by searching for the name of the manufacturer. The seller said it was a vintage, and about 100 years old. It was sold with the old case that once followed the instrument.
Here is a defiunct classified ad for a 1913 Mario Casella mandolin.
Here are a few other vintage Casellas for comparison.
