Happy Birthday to Me: Just received Andrew Jerman Custom 5 EMando

I just received this gorgeous, handmade 5 String Electric Mandolin custom made by Andrew Jerman (of Columbus, Indiana).

It's got a Flame Koa Body with a Mahogany Neck.

This completes Andrew's Side of the Trade. I am now boxing up my much played but now finish-stripped Flatiron, Performer F to send his way.

The other part of this trade was a wonderful, Maple Les Paul 8 String E-Mando!

Wow. You and that Flatiron have been through a lot. And Andrew's been wanting a good F style for a long time.

Do you have the 8-string LP yet? Or is it still on the way?

Still have the Les Paul and have even played a coupla gigs with it.
This is fun!

Got the Maple LP8 for playing Swing, the 5 String for Rock and the (recovered) Smart F5 for Bluegrass.

The Flatiron served me well for a dozen years and will hopefully be rebirthed by Andrew.

I'll try and post some mando-porn later this weekend!

That's what I like about being a hobby builder. You can do a lot of trades. Now if I can just come up with something that Martin will swap for that F-4 on his site. Enjoy Ted.

Here's a little bit more - doesn't include all the electrics, amps, effects, toys, rack gear, double bass, drum kit, PA... geeze what an accumulation over 30 years of playing!
