That's a fantastic performance for sure (as usual from Emmylou).
However, that's a Teo mando-guitar (a guitar family instrument) being played by Buddy Miller.

Yeah! But it sounds like He's using combined echo tremelo effects to get the multiplied sound I mentioned in response to someone's question about using effects in our sacred approach.
That last note She sung definitely had some heavy warble/tremelo in it!

Yeah, got to count the tuning pegs. First saw this instrument during Lucinda Williams' "Car Wheels" tour starting in 1998, particularly on the title song. It was mandolin on the album (don't know by whom), but Doug Pettibone played something like this in concert. Seen them here and there since. Still, this is nice, by everyone.
