    Default New Noam Pikelny...

    Really, really good stuff from Noam Pikelny (and a who's who of supporting/co-starring musicians) on his sophomore solo release "Beat the Devil and Carry a Rail". I've listened to the first half of the album so far...just amazing!
    If you're an instant-gratification type of person (like me), and go for the MP3 download, check out Amazon...I found it for $3 cheaper there vs. itunes. NFI

    I would characterize this album's main sound as lounge grass. It has a relaxed, slightly intoxicated flavor. It's very expertly played, but it feels like Noam is on a well earned vacation from the Punch Brothers. It's actually quite refreshing. Pass me another please.....
