Default Moongazer "Déjà Vu 5st" finished, at last !

I had some trouble with the painting, but now it's fine...
I have to adapt myself to her wide neck, but it's already a pleasure to play with her...

Looks like you`ve made a really good job of it........matching the amplifier is an especially nice touch!
How does the Aggressor sound through through the Orange and which way have you wired it?

I used the wiring shown on this picture.
I love the sound of the Agressor through my Orange amp, especially the non-weak-E (the main problem with my previous e-mando). I found a little strange that the sound in the middle position is louder than in humbucker position, but the sound is great...
I think will post a sound sample later (if I have enough time to do it !)

The single coil position should be louder than the parallel humbucker setting (but quieter than series).

Glad you like the pickup.....have fun!!!!

Love the color. Seasonally appropriate, too.

Very nice -- and I love Creamsicle® color pallete.

That is really beautiful. I do notice the wider neck you mention. Having fat fingers I'm wonder how wide is the neck at the 5th fret?

the neck looks a little narrow to me . i thought you were referring to the extra width for the 5th string instead of 4 string width . great looking mandolin though . Kudos on the build

I'd buy a Moongazer BariMando kit in a heart beat. Scale length around 18" w/ a 5 string option.

The neck is 38mm wide at the 5th fret, while it's no more than 31 mm wide on my other mandos...

Tom does an absolutely fantastic job with his kits. I'd say he is easily the "Siminoff" of electric mandolin kits. He also builds a great mandolin. My main axe is a five string he built me a couple years ago.

I agree with you... My previous emando was a Saga kit (with which I had a lot of pleasure but a lot of setup work, especially at the nut), but the quality of this Déjà Vu kit is far above the Saga...
