Does anyone recognize the maker of this mandolin? My knock-about mando is nearly identical and appears to have been made by the same mfgr, but there's no label or other indicator as to origin. I'm guessing it's Korean or Japanese, but I really have no idea.
My mando has a remarkably nice tone, but the neck was slightly bowed when I got it -- probably someone overstrung it once and left it hanging on a wall. I can't play anything on the E string above a D, and I've had to angle the bridge in a goshawful position to achieve correct intonation. Still, with all its flaws, it's been a very good cheap mando to kick around with when I didn't want to take my more expensive instruments out of the studio. Just curious as to its origins.
