Nice! What is the mando-like instrument he switches to mid-song?

Yup. Actually, this instrument was originally a squareneck lap-style, but Yanuziello tells me he rounded the neck so Kevin could play it standing up.

There were Bakelite Electro Tenors too ... would love to get my hands on one ...

Ouch. Hopefully the neck was already trashed - that would be pretty devastating to the value of the instrument to a collector, depending on the year.. In some people's eyes, that would be like taking an F4 and putting a uke neck on it.

Here's another mandolin player ( among other things) that had the same work done on a few of his instruments.I don't think he would put a tenor neck on one of his F4's at least I hope not.

I've heard of some people doing this to bakelite Ricks with broken necks, as they're already compromised. But otherwise... HIPPIES!

That's some nice playing by Kevin Breit. I bought the cd '5' by Folk Alarm, Kevin plays acoustic mandolin on every track. His records with Harry Manx are great too.

Electric mando with Folk Alarm. Great to hear Kevin Breit take the mando places it rarely goes...
