    When I first met Stuart Duncan he was 15 years old (or thereabouts). In those days he was wowing the crowds as a solo act, switching from guitar to mandolin, to banjo to fiddle. I learned later that he also had a steel guitar. So, yeah, he could play everything from a young age and was a crazy hot player. I wasn't too surprised when he ended up in Nashville.

    He played fiddle and mandolin on Tyler Childers' new album "Purgatory". It's a solid album from a young feller out of East Kentucky. Go give it a listen to!

    When he played with Robert Plant and Alison Krauss on CMT Crossroads he played a *giant* mandolin :-)
