Well, thanks for that. I may never ever play it, but it's nice to read the lyrics. I still don't know what the bloody hell the song is about but at least now I know what I didn't know.

Hi Fishmonger - Thanks much! One note - You have the mirror image of the classic 5-3-0-1 Fmaj chord shape displayed in the tab. Also, instead of this voicing, I have found that the 2-3-3-X Fmaj voicing often works quite well for rock numbers that have barre chording in the original guitar arrangements.
Thanks again - It warms my heart to see 'Rock n Roll Mando tabs'

It's rather bizarre, but my old mate Nick wrote this! Should be sharing some drumming duties with him at the end of July....

Trivia alert - The first song played by Armed Forces Radio when Operation Desert Storm began in '91 was, famously the Clash's "Rock The Casbah".
We now return you back to your normal program.
Even more trivial - the first rock song played in the Soviet Union (remember them?) when they first permitted the playing of subversive Western rock n roll was “Hang On Sloopy.“ Nothing very political about this choice; it just happened to be #1 at the time. But it clearly made Rick Derringer’s day, as he was still telling this story when I saw him thirty years later.
And again, we now return you to your previously scheduled programming, already in progress ...

Now there's a name that brings back memories! Derringer is a gifted guitarist and a fellow Buckeye...I was fortunate enough to be a 17 year old in the audience the night several songs on 'Derringer Live' were recorded at a 1977 Derringer gig at the Tomorrow Club in Youngstown, Ohio. It was one of the best concerts I have ever seen, and I think of that night often (and Fondly).
Gotta love it. (Of course, we who know, know it's Zehringer, but no matter ... ) I have a friend who was at the Fillmore East on one of the nights when The Allman Brothers Band recorded their classic album. Must have been pretty cool. It took thirty more years for something similar to happen to me, but the night in 1970 I went to The Fillmore for a triple bill of Steve Miller - Miles Davis - Neil Young was recorded and the last couple of years Neil's and Miles' sets have been released - still waiting for Steve's. Not the same cultural impact as my friend's experience, natch.
Sorry for the derailing, Fishmonger.

Oh, those are the lyrics. Yikes was I wrong.
Thanks for the chart!! I'll be sittin down with it today for sure.
If anyone out there is better at writing than I am, I'd love to get my hands on the sheet music for the piano part on that song. I'd like to convert it to tenor banjo tab which really would be the same as mandolin tab.
