    Default Frank Vignola Quintet anyone?

Man, they are just awesome. Josh can flat out rip the mandolin. It appears he is playing his Red Diamond too, so sweet!

I saw Frank two weeks ago but he was traveling with another guitar player and bass player. I got the impression that they could play all night and not run out of great tunes to play.

I can imagine Frank might be able to play a week of shows and not repeat a song. He is incredible and can play virtually anything and everything.

I would love to see them live!

If you guys dont' have the album frank did with Matt Flinner and Casey Driessen, your life is not complete.

Heck, I can't even find a copy of the recording he did with Josh Pinkham!

I'm a big fan of MaMaVig, a project with Frank, Jamie Masefield and Gary Mazzaropi. Seems like they only ever did one disc, but you can get it off of Grisman's website, available only via download (NFI.) I saw Frank play once with the DGQ, and he was *terriffic*, but can apparently be a bit of a prickly pear off-stage. Regardless, the music's unimpeachable.

What's the name of the record with Casey Driessen?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it, it's called "Gypsy Grass Collective." Hmm, listening to sound samples on Amazon now. Not sure whether I like or not...
