8 string bridge

Anyone know where I can find a good 8 string replacement bridge for my Fender mandocaster? The stock bridge was designed for 4 strings and does not serve the instrument well. Moongazer seems to be out of stock of Andrew Jerman's 8 string bridges, which likely means that Andrew is out as well.

I have just contacted Jonathan Mann, so we'll see about that avenue.
I know that JL Smith uses Jerman's bridges too.

Anyone know if Eastwood sells parts?

The eight string bridges should be available in the next week or so and they will be offered in two different spacings for awhile. The original eight string bridge was designed with a staggered system that takes string gauge into consideration. The downside is that the string spacing isn't centered on the bridge. I didn't really understand that impact up until I built an eight string myself. The new bridge will be spaced same as the four string, 7/16" on center, and you can adjust the pairs spacing using the threads on the threaded saddles. Once I get them distributed to a number of builders and get feedback from them, I will most likely discontinue the current staggered bridge.

Daniel, If you can send me one to use as a template then I can custom make one for you to match. I am making another batch right now, so I need it ASAP. Email me if you want to discuss it.

ALSO, I hope to be unveiling the new tun o matic style bridges with stop tail piece in the next week or two. They will be available in 4,8, 5 and 10 string options and will be fully adjustable for height and intonation.

Threaded barrel type bridge pieces is how the Fender FM 61 se 8 string I have, sorts that out. also.

Height adjustment screws in each barrel are minute .. adjusting Allen wrench barely a hex at all .

wonder if a thinner base and larger setscrews and such will make the string height right,

without those 8 sharp little setscrews poking me in the right hand palm..
