I've come across a mandolin made by Mark Locke. it's the eastern european style with the curved back. made of several strips of two kinds of wood. Elderly has a octive mandolin buit by him. has any body ever heard of him?

The Elderly Listing says the instrument was hand built in Michigan. He isn't in the builder database here. The same question was asked and left unanswered in this thread as well. Maybe a call to Elderly would yield some sort of result. It appears they've had that instrument for a while.

first ben moved the island here becuase he didn't like it there.
I called elderly the gentlemen i talked to said they had seen 3 or 4 od loke's insturment go threw over the years and were under impressed by them. so i took the cromwell instead.
