    Default DeArmond tenor guitar pickup

I originally bought it for the Epi Zenith tenor arch I have, but it looks like it can work on the mandolin as well. The only difference looks to be the length of the wire that holds the pickup in place. Has anyone used this in live situations and what issues have you come across? Noise, rattles, feedback? Thanks in advance.

What I meant is if its used on the mando. This topic may be belong to the tenor guitar instead of here.

Those pickups work fine on mandolin. I have two of them installed on two of my mandos.

As magnetic pickups, they don't sense the vibration of the wood, but rather the vibration of the strings. That makes them somewhat more "electric" sounding than a piezo-type pickup like the Fishman, Baggs or Schatten.

Some of the older ones used the Amphenol "screw-on" cord adapters, which tend to be hard to find these days.
