Whoa, what did you slip into the fruit punch at the party?
10/10 for concept, presentation and attitude!
I'm reminded of on old saying which goes somethging like:
" It is not enough to curse the darkness, we must light a light."
You are beginning to shine.
Sincerely
Al
cool! Congratulations!
What did you use as a pickup?
Do you have some pictures of the building process?

Great color. Got any other photos? What did you end up doing on the neck? I thought I remembered you posting that you had a problem with the neck.
Hi all
Thankyou for responding to my post it's great to get feedback, now to my questions
For the pickup i used a select strat emg mostly because it was inexspensive and being a fifteen year old without much pocket money it was a great deal. I am however pleased with the sound it gives,
unfortunately the few pictures i have of the building process were lost on my computer but i have taken some more recent ones with detail of the shaping i did on the body and a picture of me playing it!
in regards to the neck i ended up taking mastersounds advice and using an cheap ukelele neck, it worked great,
heres a picture of me playing my emando
Heres some detail of the carving that i did. i used on the top layer mdf a sort of fake wood, it's really easy to shape with sandpaper or a rasp, eg i was able to get a very nice shape to the thumb (and it will never warp ect.)
unfortunately the pictures are poor quality but it's the best my camera will take
Ah, you are playing a direct-connection emando that you can plug straight into a wall-sockett I seeOriginally Posted by (mandoman15 @ July 20 2004, 00:14)

not quite just jamming unplugged my parents appreciate the lack of noise
Question for you:
About how much time and money did you have to invest in that puppy, and what kind of equipment did you have to get access to in order to get it done?
this mandolin cost me a grand total of about 75.00 amazing AINT IT. as for tools a coping saw, wood glue, A belt, orbital and hand sanding paper, a router and a band saw and alot of time and effort.... -that sums it up. very easy to do and most fun and rewarding.
very cool thanks for sharing it with us
Really beautiful...
