I have a '69 (I believe) EM150 that I've always felt had replacement knobs. Could anyone tell me what type of knob was original to this model/year?
thanks!

If it weren't for the blue, I would think they were original, as that was the type of knob Gibson was using around that time ("amp knob" in upper right).
From here:

Knobs section is about halfway down of the very long document.
Thanks, Jeff, the blue tips have often confused me and others over the years. I got this in '77 or '78 so it wasn't that old but it is certainly possible that the original knobs parted ways. I've been tracking a number of EM150s on ebay and haven't seen similar knobs. Here is one that I have down as being from '69 with knobs such as you illustrate above.
I should keep an eye out for replacements- were these 'amp knobs' as you describe them-used be a range of Gibson electronics at these time or only on mandolins?
Mick
Great site btw, thanks for the link!

Same Knobs. as the guitars use, Bell Knobs without the metal label in the center,
have the right look. gold or black, your pick..
as you only have 2, the location should tell you whether its Volume or Tone.
IMHO, YMMV
