They are appearing locally in a free series. #Only cost is driving in DC rush hour traffic. #

    Anyone heard/heard of them? #Recommendations?

    Tim,

I have gone to see them a couple of times and have listened to their recordings many times. I would recommend that you go see them, you will hear some really good mandolin playing. Where are they playing? I have seen them in D.C. and Glen Echo, MD. They come up at least once a year to do a contradance, but I enjoy them as a performing group without the dancing.

    Charlie-

June 24, 7:30 at Nottoway Park in Vienna.

Full Fairfax County Summer concert info is at schedule. The annoying thing is that you have to look at each park's schedule separately.

Thanks Tim. I don't think I can make that, unfortunately, but go if you can. You won't get a better bargain for listening to some great mandolin playing.

They're from around here. Yeah, you should go see them. I know a couple of the guys in the band but have only heard them once. They sounded good when I heard them.

Took the recommendations. #Really good show. #Some sound problems early but those got fixed by the third song. #

Most of their appearances seem to be in the central Va area. #Check them out at www.mandomafia.com.
