Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.

In just our 2nd month, this is turning into a pretty nice jam. Today was a rainy day and Super Bowl Sunday, and we still had a pretty good group, with some first-rate pickers. Pictures will be up on our website soon.

Not a hijack attempt. Mike, did I pick with you and Ken the bass player at the Parker's 3 day jam last fall?

Java & Jams is also hosting a "slow jam" for beginner to intermediate pickers that can't play with the big boys in our regular 1st Sunday Jam. It will be held on the 4th Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm. We held the first one last Sunday (not the 4th Sunday due to a conflict) and had about 10 - 12 pickers, some of us were lower intermediates, some pretty new players and even a few great pickers just to hold it all together (they stayed at a reasonable speed). It was a great time and a good opportunity to try a jam scenario with no pressure. All pickers are invited. Several of us blew a lead last week, but the good pickers held it together and would pick up if we dropped it, there was no pressure and nobody laughed at anybody. It is all about having the chance to practice with other people. Come on out and tell your friends. See you there.
