(Please pardon the double post)

The Munier Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra is actively seeking players of the mandolin, mandola, mandocello, guitar and bass to join our organization.

The orchestra has been in existence for 50 years. We play a wide variety of pieces and styles; classical, semi-classical, opera, Italian pop tunes, Broadway show tunes, etc. Many of our arrangements were written in the mandolin's heyday of the 1910-20 period and were collected by the orchestra's founder and first conductor.

If you are a violin player (or other stringed instrument player) who would like to play the mandolin, or a by-ear mando player in need of a little help with sight reading, we are offering free lessons as an incentive.

We practice once a week on Monday nights in Southwest Philadelphia, and perform about five to six concerts per year.

Thanks.
