Nigel Tufnel with Spinal Tap playing "Stonehenge" at Live Earth on Saturday. Midway through is Nigel's mando part. Enjoy!

Gear issues in the middle of his solo seemed so typically Nigel.

But at least the mando wasn't in danger of being trod upon by a dwarf-- thank goodness for that!

I should really be practicing instead of sitting in front of the computer.

Was that Meathead that introducing Spinal Tap?

-Was anyone really watching this live earth stuff?

-Was there an actual audience who saw that band playing in Antarctica? #(all I saw were Penguins)

Heck now I know how to pay for that Gilchrist that I've been wanting? #I'm selling carbon credits too if anyone wants them. #Just send me a PM. #Oh and for the 100th customer I'm throwing in the Brooklyn Bridge #

Perhaps the NewMAD can be marketed as the ultimate eco-friendly mandolin. Doesn't kill trees; chemically binds carbon into fibers instead of releasing it into the atmosphere.

    It's not biodegradable, is it?

It's hard to tell from the video, but that mando looks a lot like the same Collings MT2 that Jamie Lee Curtis bought for her husband, Baron Haden-Guest, and same one that Allan Burrows of the Folksmen played in "A Mighty Wind." That mando sure gets around!

    Naw, that was Marty Dibergy!

Looks like Nigel is still playing his early Collings MT2.
