My partner is in Glasgow for a month and saw a place called The Grand Ol' Opry in Glasgow and asked if it was mandolin related. She also wanted to bring me back something, is there a good music store with mandlin books, tee shirts or such?

I don't know, I'm afraid. I usually visit Glasgow during Celtic Connections.
I think there's a shop called Folk Revolution which sells Eastman mandolins, as one of my students got one there, so that might be worth a try.
Jimmy Moon, who makes Moon guitars and mandolins, is based in Glasgow and plays bass with bluegrass group The Moonshiners. Maybe track him down.
Might be worth asking on the forum at Footstompin' (Scottish music site with lively forum). Lots of Celtic music sessions to be found in Glasgow, but not necessarily mandolin related.
Try contacting the Lanarkshire Guitar and Mandolin Association. Ian (known as treble clef) often pitches in here.

From a brief Google search, it appears that the Grand Ol' Opry in Glasgow is a country music club. Country music seems inexplicably popular in Scotland. If I was going to visit Scotland, I'd probably try to find some Scottish music...
If you're looking for mandolin-related activities around Glasgow, there is a mandolin orchestra called Da Capo Alba. They are part of the Lanarkshire Guitar & Mandolin Association.
Appropriate gifts for your partner to bring back for you might be books or CDs of Scottish fiddle/pipe music, which generally transfers well to mandolin.
