Thread: New website

I decided to try and build a website since I have been getting more requests for info on my bridges and instruments. So, I built a site using a template from the host. I was really hoping that I could get something a little bit more professional looking since I have no experience what so ever, but just can't finance it at this point in the game.

So, here it is. Any feedback, good or bad, is appreciated. Incidentally, the site address is my business' name.

Good start Andrew! That should help things along in terms of orders. Your sie is going into my "builder's supplies" file.

    Overall it looks good Andrew--
The only thing I'd change are some of the photos.
The low-res photo "jaggies" on some of the instruments make
it look like shoddy workmanship. (ie. photos on the home page)
In looking at the the high-res photos that's obviously not the case...

Thanks. The photos are horrible, but at this point that is all I have. I think its just the quality of my camera. I am going to have a friend photograph some that I'm working on now in hopes of getting better quality photos.

My plans are to have sound bytes of different pickups too, as well as an "In the shop" page where I can showcase what I'm working on. I also just got setup as a vendor for a pickup company, so I will probably be listing some pickups on the parts page.

Here's another possibility for bad photos:
Are you doing adjustments using a "Paint" type
program--or turning jpgs into bitmap files?
    (I haven't checked the pictures)

I'm using photoshop. It literally is the camera. The homepage photo I left at a low resolution.
