I admit it, I'm a book junkie. I've been listening to a lot of Jethro lately and came across his book on Elderly's site. Seems to have a lot of BG stuff in it. Any thoughts on its suitability for a jazz wannabe?

Me too! Ya know, I keep buying books and adding them to the stack, but I don't seem to get any better for it. Go figure.Originally Posted by (lambdaman @ April 14 2004, 23:54)
This book and CD is essential to anyone who wants to play in the style of Jethro Burns.
My mandolin teacher lent me the book, it's great, he does a lot of blugrass standards in the book, but with his own twist. I have the book and cd on order so I can return this one. The exercises are really good, too. I give it a thumbs up.
