I can't seem to find a emando capable of Emaj tuning (E-A-B-F#-C#). I have a 5-string Ryder which I love, but the
low© string is pretty floppy when I tune down. I know this is often a problem for any low c, and that the Pentaula corrects this, but don't have $3400 for another emando. If anybody knows of a cheaper mando, or anything that might help, that would be great. And thanks for all the info about amps, it helps to get others opinions.

Hm. Maybe one o' them there Ronos would help, if you can ever find one.

You mean AEBF#C#, right? Third below CGDAE? That's the Pentaula tuning. You could try a custom superheavy set of strings and see if that helps.

Or check jimmacd's thread on mini-guitar conversions. A 19" scale mini-guitar is just what you need! mandocrucian has posted about this many times.
