I flew into Nashville last Thursday from Phoenix, AZ and brought my F9 into Dave Harvey to have some work done on the neck. #I was prepared to wait 6 to 8 weeks to get the work done that I needed. #Dave Harvey (master luthier and all around good guy) absolutely blew me away. #He shaved the back of the neck to make it more round, dressed the frets, installed a new bridge, and did an awsome set up. #He had all that work done by 5:30 that afternoon and I took my instrument back with me to the hotel that night. #I appreciate good service and I like to recognize people when they do a great job. #Big Joe was very cordial as usual and I enjoyed our conversation about Mr. Bill's Loars. #Great work guys.

Cool, I've always had good luck with Gibson too!
Can you post a picture of the neck? That sounds interesting....

I too have just had a good Gibson repair experience. #I just got it back on Friday. #Its a Parsons F5 and the neck was kicking up. #Danny and his boys found that the neck joint glue had failed and the neck block split. #Ouch! #

But its right as rain now. The neck is now straight as it should be, #body splits and cracks are GONE! the new finish is smooth as silk. # New bridge too! #Now it has even action up the neck and is much easier to play. I'm a happy camper. #I'm also a poorer camper, but they had a lot to do and you have to pay for quality. I'll post some before and after pictures later.
