I'm not sure how to form this one. I have my tenor in the traditional CGDA tuning, just like a mandola or mandocello. Any help would be appreciated.

    5-2-2-5 = R 3 M7 13(6)

    5-7-7-7 = R 6 3 M7

on either, you can ghost in the missing 5th by hammering onto the bottom string root (5th fret) from the open note.

or you can leave out the root and use the 5th
    0-2-2-5 = 5-3-M7-13

    2-5-2-0 = 6th-5-M7-3

Thanks, Niles. I'm trying to learn John Gorka's "Christmas Bells" (based on the Tennyson poem) prior to the holidays, and I couldn't find this chord anywhere, not to mention that I lack the skill to construct it myself.
