    Thumbs up

You know, I hate to post my laudatory comments and inquiries to a line that bashes GOR (Good Old Rono). So I'm gonna thank Clem for his very helpful info on the string gauges of the most famous Rono mando player (Michael Kang) in this new thread. In case you can't tell, I LOVE MY RONO!!

Are those all Bill Lawrence humbuckers? #Mine has just a dual Bill Lawrence humbucker, and it sounds awesome. #The flowering vine is sweet looking, too. #What are those three knobs on the right?

How long did you wait for Rono to deliver your Mandolin (of which, it is a fine specimen). I have been waiting for 9 months now and have nearly lost hope on the mandolin which I FULLY paid for. I would rather have made a deal with the devil if I would have known this process was going to be soooo stressful. The reason I dealt with Rono was because the devil stopped taking orders for mandolins...Thanks

    Howdy:

As I got the mando used, I'm not sure what brand the pickups are. The 3 black mini toggles turn the pickups off and on. The tone knob is a "pull/push" which acts as a splitter for the dual coil humbucker in the middle. With the various controls, I can get just about ANY sound/tone I want. FYI, there is a crescent moon and star in the headstock and a stylized star/blossom on the 3rd fret.

Sweeet! My Homer just has regular volume and tone knobs. #It's got great sound and tone, but I admit that I'm intrigued by that flexible setup that you have with all of those pickups. #Your humbuckers look like mine, so I assume that they are Bill Lawrences too. #Do you have any pictures that show the crescent moon/star and star/blossom? #My Homer pix are in the other thread, but I'll post one here too!
