    Default Martin Tenor

Did Martin ever produce an archtop tenor guitar with f holes in mid 1930's?

They did indeed. One came up on ebay a number of years ago that gave me a serious case of tgas but I could not afford it.

    This is from tenorguitar.com........

If you google "Martin archtop tenor guitar" you will see more images of them.

They had mahogany sides and flat backs.

Thanks Charles. I've been led to one for sale, but doesn't look quite the same as these. I thought they only made flat tops.

Dcav, if you are interested, here is an article about Martin archtop guitars.........

The same points about the construction (very different from Gibson, Epiphone, etc) holds true for the tenors as well. A very limited of tenors were made and are hard to find.
