1782 Gio: Battista Fabricatore Mandolin

Please excuse me. This is my first time posting at the Mandolin Cafe. This is an inherited mandolin. I've done alot of research on it and believe it is a very rare piece. We are just starting out so can't really afford the expensive appraisal costs. Even found an almost exact mandolin in the MFA of Boston, except year is 1790. My best friend inherited a Victorian mansion full of many, many antiques in all categories. Everyone wants all sorts of money that we don't have yet. This mandolin is one of my favorites. Any idea of the value of it is? Any advice where to start besides Ebay? (not a big fan)I have been appointed as Marketing Manager but don't have the means to get it going. Any help! Please?!

In what region are you located? There may be vintage instrument store that could appraise and/or help sell your instrument on consignment. How long was the mandolin in the family and have you been able to find anything about its prior history in your research?
