    Default Milestone posts

I just realized that with this post, I am one post away from number four thousand! Now I realize that still makes me a relative lightweight compared to Mike and Jim and Journey Bear etc, but still it seems like a lot. Well I am wondering if I should mark it by something above my average post. Perhaps a video of some chord-melody on the tenor guitar or some thing like that. Have other members done something special to mark a "milestone" post?

I always suggest that people mark special occasions by sending me large sums of money

I thought the rule was one new mandolin for each 1,000 posts . . . so, he needs FOUR!

Okay, so it's not really a rule - but traditions have to start somewhere . . . .

If you save a dollar with each post you can get quite nice mandolin sometimes in the future...

A video of you bungie jumping from a Chrysler Building gargoyle while playing a violin solo from the Rasumovsky Quartets on a Loar would be entertaining.

    For us, anyway . . .

Ok then, in recognition of post number four thousand, I have decided to give a donation to the Cafe.

I am glad to have a place devoted to the mandolin where one can post four, four thousand or fourteen thousand times. My thanks to Scott and all the moderators!

Don't tell anybody, but the new 'tradition' isn't going to start with me.

Two weeks ago I had four mandolins . . . today I have two . . . and by the end of next week I may be down to one . . . so, I am going in the opposite direction.

    Oops!

Would love to hear some chord-melodies on tenor guitar!

Years ago I played a tenor guitar(at Encore Music in Albuquerque). It was a black Gibson vintage archtop.
What a great tone/sound! Too bad I looked down my stupid nose at tenor guitars at that time.
