    Default Recently acquired mandola

I suppose as my first post to these forums, I'll briefly introduce myself. I live in California, where I play the cello with a local college, and dabble in a few other stringed instruments. I have been playing on a few mandolins the last few months and picked up what I've learned is a mandola. Being a cellist and learning more about these, you may imagine my excitement. A few cello suites have plucked a few times already.

I'm attaching pictures and would like some help in finding more info on this. There are no tags or markings, inside or outside that I can find. I'm hoping someone may be able to help identify a manufacturer this may have come from. Sounds much more beautiful than I had expected once I got it tuned properly.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

That might make sense. The man had an old Meinel & Herold that I may still go pick up. Unfortunately, the man I purchased it from simply bought them because of how they looked and doesn't know anything about them. I'm trying to get more information from him. This one looks well taken care of, no case, but whomever had it before the man I purchased it from had it tuned in gdae.
