Default Looking for opinions on fiddle/mandolin combo case?

Is the guardian good enough, or the bobelock 1022?

The bobelock is twice the price, but looks a little better to my eye. I think my double fiddle case is a bobelock, and it has been fine.

What about weights on these things?

Is there anything else out there I should be looking at?

Bobelock makes great cases. I have them for both my violin and viola. They are at least 10 years old, and have been used---I go to rehearsals, chamber music groups, etc., as much as four times a week, so the cases are continually in and out of the car. They have held up beautifully.

The website should have weights listed. A neoprene strap makes a heavy case easier to schlep.

I have both. I like the Bobelock better. I feel better putting my instruments in it.

I have both. Either will work for in hand carrying around at a gig or festival. The Bobelock is built more heavily and as such weighs more than the Guardian. I have been using the Bobelock for more than a decade and it is holding up well. No problems with the Guardian but it stays at the house more often.R/
    I love hanging out with mandolin nerds . . . . . Thanks peeps ...
